I was driven from the Franciscan Provincial House on Monday morning to the Franciscan seminary. We left at about 7 AM. The traffic in Ho Chi Minh City adds a whole new meaning to the term congested. The motor scooters outnumber the cars by a bout 10 to 1. How the drivers manage to avoid hitting each other is one of the great mysteries of the modern world. The flow of traffic reminded me of watching a line of ants as they build their nest. It was constant and never ending.
